| Sumario: | The article studies the labor movement experience in Rosario during the 1920s: it explores the work done by the novice Communists during the middle of the decade to organize workers in the newly installed cold storage plant “Swift” in the south end of the town. The landing of this American company profoundly changed the appearance of the city and became the symbol of imperialism in the region. Since its beginnings, the members of the Communist Party members focused in organizing the labor detachment of this company. This paper talks about the various tactics deployed to lay siege to the industrial establishment, as well as the organizational tools they used and its results. |
