From a social history starting point, weaddress a set of problematic knots that central power had to carry out the educational venture, namely: the role of local communities in the demands for the creation of schools, the material conditions of buildings, budgetary limitations, the question of the “nationalization” of indigenous communities and, finally, the control of foreign prívate schools. |
