Sumario:The article discusses some historical constants in Italian foreign policy and political events that took place in the Italian national scene during the years from 2011 to 2015, relating them to regional policies within the European Union. The need to coordinate internal policies - economic, social, and political reforms - with Community policies sets the agenda of the current Renzi government and the direction of Italian foreign policy.
