Sumario:This article presents preliminary results of a research project that seeks to comparatively analyze three curricular proposals under the Technical-Vocational Education (TVE) modality at the secondary level in Córdoba, Argentina: a technical school, a school of the Advanced Secondary Education Program in ICT (ProA), and a Secondary Vocational Training School (ESFP). Within the framework of a qualitative study based on bibliographical review and documentary analysis, the vocational training offered by each proposal is studied with the aim of identifying their similarities, variations, and criteria for responding to the needs of the labor market and the local socioeconomic context. The exploratory research conducted allows for an initial assessment of the suitability of the curricula for the TVE modality, identifying target groups, areas of knowledge, and institutional organizational criteria. In this sense, the article aims to contribute to the discussion on the specificities of TVE in the current context and its role in the social and economic development of the province of Córdoba. Given the diversification of training options, it is important to consider the relevance and relevance of specific technical training in each area to ensure equal opportunities in training for decent work, in line with the demands of the labor market and the socio-productive sector, and/or for the pursuit of higher education.
