Sumario:This paper addresses migratory processes of the Slovenians of Argentina from a transnational perspective. Firstly, I attempt to reconstruct the way in which social ties with the place of origin were historically established, exploring in particular the way in which the mobility between Slovenia and Argentina developed over time. Then, I seek to understand the meaning of temporary "return" migrations in the framework of ethnogenesis processes between descendants linked to the first and second migration who have not had an ascriptive and collective continuity with the Slovenian identity.
