Sumario:This paperaddresses the permanence and resistance to gender mandates in four dimensions of the life of migrant Bolivianwomen in Arica (Chile): sexuality, pregnancy, affective relationships and sexual division of work in the home. The empirical data analyzed come from the ethnographicworkcarried out in 2019 in the city of Arica and in the Azapa Valley. Weconcludethat cross-border migration represents new possibilities for femaleagency and for inhabitinggender and kinshipsystems.
