Sumario:This article is a case study of a public policy evaluation project at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) using the impact measurement methodology. The progress in the use of this type of methodologies in Latin America in general and in Argentina in particular in recent decades is presented, to identify the context of the emergence of the analyzed project. Then, it delves into the definition of its objectives, theoretical and methodological framework and its implementation challenges. Finally, it reflects on the problems and opportunities that these types of projects open up and the potential of results for national development and the improvement of institutional culture.
