Sumario:The self-portrait is a genre that we associate with painting, but I would like to present the idea that it is a phenomenon that reaches other arts and is linked to other artistic expressions that are not so evident to us. In other words, it is an aesthetic phenomenon that covers various representations and all of them answer to the same challenge: the need for human self-objectification. On this occasion we are going to contemplate the literary dimension of the phenomenon, without renouncing to consider the plastic dimension.
