description In the present article, we analyze the legal practices developed by a peasant community in the context of a land conflict. Its main goal is to highlight the particular characteristics present in the judicial area as a place for territorial conflict resolution, in respect of being a highly codified space, affected by legal rules, and mediated by experts in the field. Based on the philosophical category of "disagreement" (Rancière) we contemplate the singularity that implies for a peasant collectivity to become a legal subject in the judicial area.
