Sumario: | This paper deals with the celebration of the end of the harvest through the study of Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia, in the province of Mendoza. At the same time, this is a celebration and a spectacle generated from the public cultural policy of the provincial governments. The exploration of the cultural importance of the festivals, due to their location within the cultural public sphere, allow us to examinate them as areas from which an attempt has been made to construct the legitimacy of political power through a particular sense of identity. This phenomenon is seeable in some esthetics and in narratives of harvest. |
