Sumario:The extensive implementation of the rural municipalities during the Estado de Buenos Aires constituted a particular experience in Hispano-America. The objective of the present article is to analyze this process as the transition of a government centered in the juez de paz designated by the governor to another collegiated and integrated by municipales elected by the neighbors of each town in a provincial state that was declarated sovereign, but was immersed in debates and confrontations about the national state. Through the Acts of Sessions of four municipalities, we looked for reconstructions located of the transformations in the local governments like part of daily processes of the construction of state.
