As the state is responsible for the construction of countless public buildings, which, as such, should be seen as a clear example, the introduction of these energies in public buildings will bring socio-environmental, economic, technical and educational benefits. Within the official sector, school buildings are pronounced for their social role in raising the awareness of present and future generations on the subject. Therefore, the present work aims to quantify the amount of energy that can be generated in a group of school buildings located in the city of San Juan, as a result of the application of solar photovoltaic technology. In order to determine the generation potential, the architectural and urban morphological characteristics of the case studies are analyzed and the Solar Calculator developed by the National Energy Secretariat is used. It is concluded that school buildings can be potential centers of clean energy generation in their urban environment.

It is concluded that school buildings can be potential centers of clean energy generation in their urban environment.   La actual preocupación ambiental circunscripta a los elevados niveles de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero que inciden en el cambio climático, demandan la transición energética. En este marco, la energía solar fotovoltaica genera grandes expectativas por concebirse como una forma de consumo sostenible. Siendo el Estado el encargado de ejecutar innumerables edificios públicos que, como tales, deben concebirse como ejemplos manifiestos, es que la introducción de dichas energías en los mismos conllevará beneficios socio-ambientales, económicos, técnicos y educativos. Dentro del sector oficial, los edificios escolares pueden convertir en modelos para las actuales y futuras generaciones, en relación a la problemática planteada. Es por lo expuesto que el presente trabajo tiene por objeto cuantificar la cantidad de energía que puede ser generada en un conjunto de edificios escolares emplazados en la Ciudad de San Juan, producto de la aplicación de la tecnología solar fotovoltaica. Para determinar el potencial de generación, se analizan las características morfológicas arquitectónicas y urbanas de los casos de estudio y se emplea el Calculador Solar elaborado por la Secretaría de Energía de la Nación. Se concluye que los edificios escolares pueden constituirse como potenciales centros de generación de energía limpia de su entorno urbano. As actuais preocupações ambientais, que se limitam aos elevados níveis de emissões de gases com efeito de estufa que contribuem para as alterações climáticas, apelam a uma transição energética. Neste contexto, a energia solar fotovoltaica gera grandes expectativas porque é concebida como uma forma de consumo sustentável. Como o Estado é responsável pela construção de inúmeros edifícios públicos, o que, como tal, deve ser visto como um exemplo claro, a introdução destas energias em edifícios públicos trará benefícios sócio-ambientais, económicos, técnicos e educacionais. Dentro do sector oficial, os edifícios escolares são pronunciados pelo seu papel social na sensibilização das gerações actuais e futuras para o assunto. Portanto, o presente trabalho visa quantificar a quantidade de energia que pode ser gerada num grupo de edifícios escolares localizados na cidade de San Juan, como resultado da aplicação da tecnologia solar fotovoltaica. A fim de determinar o potencial de geração, são analisadas as características arquitectónicas e morfológicas urbanas dos estudos de caso e é utilizada a Calculadora Solar desenvolvida pelo Secretariado Nacional de Energia.
