Validation of the Flow Short Scale (FSS) in Argentinian gamers

This study aimed to research the psychometrics properties of the Flow Short Scale (FSS) in Argentinian gamers. The sample was composed by 882 gamers (Men= 53.2%; Woman= 46.8%), with age ranging from 13 to 59 years (M= 22.59; SD= .5.95). The FSS can be evaluated in a unidimensional and bidimensional...

Sumario:This study aimed to research the psychometrics properties of the Flow Short Scale (FSS) in Argentinian gamers. The sample was composed by 882 gamers (Men= 53.2%; Woman= 46.8%), with age ranging from 13 to 59 years (M= 22.59; SD= .5.95). The FSS can be evaluated in a unidimensional and bidimensional version (Rheinberg et al., 2003; Engeser & Rheinberg, 2008). The Factorial Confirmatory Analysis (X2(df), NNFI, CFI, IFI, GFI, SRMR Y RMSEA), the Omega de McDonald (ω), and the parsimony of the model (CAIC) was measure in both versions. After evaluating the results, the bifactorial model was the best to adjust to the Argentinian gamers.
