Sumario:Studies of urban growth in Córdoba city have identified negative externalities arising from this process: sprawl in a low density pattern with high land consumption; intensification of residential segregation and urban fragmentation. These features are identified as typical of the urbanization in the post- fordist stage. (Soja E. 2000; De Mattos C. 2010).In return, we investigate models of densification, to evaluate the quality of life in different spatial organization alternatives, taking as analytical dimensions: urban and architectural design. The importance of the project lies in the development of indicators on collective housing densification proposals and to compare the residential quality, thus to validate criteria on densification comparatively considering the levels of efficiency, equity and sustainability implicit in different proposals. This validation will be developed through the application of a computer simulation model, analyzing hypotheses on densification under different scenarios and assessing their feasibility to be transfer to urban standards. It is, ultimately, to contribute to the formulation of guidelines for intervention that promotes a more compact urban development model.
