This study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical and biological properties of Aloe vera gel for its potential use in cosmetics. Leaves were harvested from theMorad nursery in Khemis-Miliana, and the gel extracted was analyzed. The gel, composed of 98 % water, had the following characteristics: yield = 45.31 %, pH = 4.45, acidity = 0.046 ± 0.007 %, Brix = 1.335 %, conductivity = 1.855 %, and relative density = 0.995 g/mL. It exhibited notable antioxidant activity (IC50 = 49.83 mg/mL) and antibacterial effects against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Klebsiella pneumoniae, but showed no inhibitory activity on Candida albicans ATCC 10231.
