Sumario:Abstract In this article, we propose a kind of tactical reflection on the relationship between canon and philosophy from the perspective of the processes and operations that they deploy in an exercise of demarcation and reciprocal legitimation. There are reasons to associate canon with the disciplinary matrix, from a component that would be its condition, temporality. We understood it as the dissection table of the critical-conceptual work of philosophy. The philosophical canon is constituted as a historical textual materiality, a matrix that gestates and displays a normalized and cohesive praxis by certain ways of configuring time, either as a category or as a function that subtracts itself while ordering knowledge about the real.   Key words: Canon; Philosophy; Temporality; Writings.
