| Sumario: | University extension, conceived as a critical and dialogical process, aims to transcend training that is exclusively technical academic and to achieve comprehensive training processes, through the promotion of university students who are supportive and committed to the processes of transformation in society.
From this perspective, the purpose of this article is based on the description and analysis of Experiential Education Extension Practices (PEEE) and the learnings they promote. To this end, the experiences of the Bachelor of Nutrition students who participated in PEEE, between 2017 and 2019 included, were analyzed.
We worked with the final reports of the students who took part in these practices, this first instrument being a questionnaire in which they valued their experience. The second instrument corresponded to the teachers’ final reports, where they evaluated the practice in general terms, their participation, the students´participation and their relationship in the territory. Thus, characteristics of each of the PEEE proposals were recovered, allowing their subsequent description.
The findings show positive results in terms of the students´ personal development, academic career and professional future as they were able to interact with a heterogeneous social reality, consolidate both previous and new knowledge and gain experience when interacting and communicating with the community. |
