Sumario:Equally important is the care of the nurse in the clinical environment of the disease is the approach of taking care of the emotional needs of patients, this reality a the one that the nurse must face reveals the difficult situation in the management of the patient oncology in relapse.  Objective: To interpret the experiences and coping methods of oncological nurses with respect to relapsing patients. Methodology: to carry out this study we used a qualitative research design of phenomenological type in which a colloquial or dialogical interview was used to 17 nurses from the Onco hematology service. Results: After analyzing the interviews, two main themes were identified: emotions and attitudes each with categories, among them: impotence, frustration, anger, anguish, sadness, compassion and hurts, repression-silence, active acceptanceListening, Humor, Negation and indifference. Conclusion: At the end of the analysis of all the findings, it can be concluded that: the emotions and feelings of the nurses, before the reality of taking care of a patient in relapse were: impotence and frustration - anger and dissatisfaction - anguish and sadness - hurt and compassion. Attitudes  and modes of confrontations identified in the majorities of proffesion are: repression and silence, acceptance - listening and humor and negation and indifference.
