Although the main ideas of its representatives have not changedover time, their analysis tends to become more complex when studying the political systems theydefended, mainly in relation to democracy. In this work we will analyze the criticisms formulatedby revisionist intellectuals to liberalism and some of its political referents between the 1930s and1950s, based on the writings of Julio and Roldofo Irazusta, Ernesto Palacio, Manuel Gálvez, RaúlScalabrini Ortiz and Atilio García Mellid -belonging to the radical group FORJA-, among otherauthors. We maintain as a hypothesis that, in certain cases, such as FORJA intellectuals and Gálvezat the end of the 1930s, the criticism of liberalism also implied a vindication of democracy. On thispoint, it is essential to examine the particularities which these concepts were conceived, since thedifferences, which enrich the study of intellectuals, emerge when comparing their political positions, which inevitably influenced their revisionist interpretations of the past.
