| Sumario: | The naturalization of foreigners was a topic very discussed in Argentine at the ending of nineteen century and in connection with the efforts done for the nationalization of the immigrants. This paper study the evolution of that process in the province of Santa Fe, where the immigration was very important. Some of the aspect under investigation are the moments when the demanding of citizenship augmented and its causes, the reactions of the different ethnic groups at the matter, and the magnitude of the process in comparison with other provinces. Other subject to analyse is the position adopted by Santa Fe s leaders about the problem. |
