| Sumario: | In 1996, Mikael Blomkvist is sentenced for defaming the businessman Hans-Erik Wennerström. Henrik Vanger takes advantage of the situation and proposes a deal: to write a book about his empire and his extensive family while, at the same time, investigating the mysterious disappearance of Harriet—Vanger's niece—in 1966. Henrik is the former director of the Vanger Corporation, one of the most important companies in Sweden. During his retreat in the small town of Hedestad, Blomkvist will meet several members of the family and encounter their family intrigues for the control of the company in order to hide the family's Nazi past, and how all of this relates to Harriet's disappearance and her alleged murder. |
