| Sumario: | An insight into the sugar historical heritage of Cuba should be focused further than its economic, political and social conditioning factors; it also needs an immediate rescue, considering it as part of its national identity. This article exposes the possibilities that the documentary collections existing in the Municipal Historic Archive of San Luis, Santiago de Cuba, about the agro-industrialcomplexes of Rafael Reyes, Chile and Paquito Rosales, offer to the researchers for the study of this locality´s sugar patrimony. Therefore, the article focuses on exposing the scope and contents of the sections and documentary series, classified and organized in order to facilitate the mechanisms of searching and accessing the processed information. Finally, it presents the documentation available in the archive and its accessibility, detailing the information offered by each of them and facilitating the investigative work of scholars on the theme. |
