description This article aims to reflect about the divergences printed in the construction of the photojournalistic look crossed by the binary cultural logic, which is divided between masculine and feminine. From the photojournalistic productions of Rosa Gauditano and Evandro Teixeira, carried out during the brazilian’s military dictatorship of 1964, and from testimonies of other brazilian photojournalists, we provoke an interdisciplinary re-reading about the possible division of looks in comparison with texts of Veiga (2012), Hall (2006), Alvarez (2016), among others. The preliminary results reveal the existence of a possibly transformative element in the production process of brazilian’s female photojournalists: the influence of feminist movements.
