This study proposes to evaluate the factorial structure, internal reliability and external validity of the Interpersonal Support Assessment List (LESI-12) in a sample of 459 adults. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the three-factor model presents adequate fit indices (SRMR = .06; CFI = .97; NNFI = .97; IFI = .97). The dimensions of the instrument evidenced an acceptable internal consistency (.78 ≤ Ꞷ). The external validity analysis revealed a strong inverse relationship with measures of depressive symptomatology, as suggested by the literature. It is concluded that the three-factor solution of the LESI-12 is theoretically consistent and coherent with the literature, and this presents evidence in favor of its use in the Argentine context.
